Nightshade, also known simply as Night, explores and protects the Metaverse from those who wish to abuse or destroy it.  Simply put, Night is a spy.  She has spent the last five years as a resident within a virtual world known as Second Life.  She solves the mysteries and rectifies serious crimes as they develop. 

Her alter-ego, Mary Slade is a successful entrepreneur.    At times, Mary is complex showcasing more of her femininity and style then Night.   Mary knows she is a sexy and intelligent woman and uses all that she has been given.  But she is also cautious to keep her identity as Night as secret as possible to allow herself to have the freedom to exist in the Metaverse without interruption. 

Night on the other hand, plays out the fact that she saves the Metaverse.  She is decisive, calculating and a formidable opponent.     She is not the person you would want to meet in a dark alley as she may be the only one who will walk out.   Night is a master of martial arts, expert in disguise.  She enjoys motorsports and always has her motorcycle close to her.
